While other companies employ commissioned salespeople without any construction knowledge, every person on the Ridout sales staff is salaried and an experienced roofer first. You’ll never feel pressured into making a decision, but you will be advised about any potential roofing problems before they arise.
SAFETY, SUPERVISION & SUPPLIES.
Safety: Ridout Roofing prides itself in jobsite safety. For example, nearly every city inspector requires that ladders remain up and in front of a residence for various inspections. So Ridout developed a unique method of securing ladders with plywood to discourage children from mischief and possible injury. Painting the top three feet of the ladder also reminds our employees of OSHA regulations.
Supervision: Besides local ordinances, every roof installed by Ridout must first pass Ridout’s own inspection by in-house inspectors. Only when the roof is certified does each homeowner, homebuilder or property owner receive a written copy of the inspection report.
Supplies: In order to eliminate the need for filing costly liens with other material suppliers, Ridout started our own supply company, East Bay Supply. We save homeowners time and money by running our own freight trucks and negotiating large volume deals with national manufacturers.
In order to attract and retain “career professionals” rather than temporary, non-union laborers, Ridout has offered medical, vacation, and retirement benefits to all of our union roofers since 1936. They not only do a better job, but they stay longer, work harder, and deliver a superior product toour customers.
